The 1970's
1971
- Work to develop a block of 12 flats commenced, to be known as Gray House.
1973
- A new lease was granted by Cambridge City Council regarding the Eastfield land.
1975
- The Society makes an application for registration with the Housing Corporation.
- Kinross House, a scheme for 4 flats was completed.
- A newly constituted Tenants Association was founded:
- “An Association relating to Eastfield and Fallowfield had been set up in 1935 but had not been revived after the war, the present proposal should be properly constituted and fully represented. One named Member of the Tenants Association should be co-opted to the Management Committee, provided the membership was representative of the whole estate. A closer relationship between Management Committee and Tenants could be of benefit to all.”
1978
- Montrose House was built.
- Following amalgamation, Messrs Catlings were appointed as Managing Agents.
