HHS archive centre

Welcome to Hundred Houses Society's Archive Centre, which has been set up to celebrate our 75th anniversary. We are immensely proud of our history and hope that you enjoy looking through the archives and maybe recalling some of the events that took place.

We were established in 1933 when our founder, Mrs Stevenson, arranged for 100 houses to be built on the Eastfield Estate in Chesterton, Cambridge. Since then our housing stock has increased to over 1,000.  To date, in 2008, we still have some orginal tenants living in our homes, who have greatly helped us to identify many of the events that have taken place.  We sincerely thank them for this and for being such loyal tenants to the Society for 75 years.

If you require any further detail we are happy to try and help you.  Please contact us on 01223 315036.  Please also have a look at our main website at www.hhs.org.uk which will tell you all about what we are doing now!

Thank you for your visit!
